Hello Sherwin, thanks for your reply.
As we indicated in the previous message, the length is carefully studied so that it fits perfectly in the pdf.
We cannot modify the length of that field because then in many cases it would no longer fit in its column.
The channel list that most sound engineers use is filled with brief and direct indications so that the interpretation in the assembly is as easy and fast as possible.
For any development or improvement we value that it serves the majority of users and that although it is powerful and versatile, it is easy to use.
Even so, if you need to include more characteristics in each line of the channel list, you can use the "Custom columns" to add more data in a clear way.

lame, the custom columns don’t address the fact i need more than 22 characters on that a specific line. for riders with like 24 or 32 channels there is a ton of blank space left at the bottom of the PDF. there is likely a simple way to address this, I know from speaking with other people I am not the only one that has run into this issue. please add more characters!

We understand that this limitation doesn’t fit your use case. However, after a year of usage, we haven’t received similar requests, and the system is designed to accommodate the majority of users. We have no plans to change this functionality.
If we see significant demand for this feature in the future, we may reconsider.

Hello Sherwin, thanks for your suggestion.
The length of the text fields is carefully studied so that everything fits well in the PDF document. There are 22 characters, which is enough to indicate directly (or abbreviated if it is longer).
If you need to enter more information such as the microphone on each channel, in most cases it also fits, but if not, you can also create a specific custom column for the microphone on each channel (where 10 more characters fit).

The maximum character limit isn't calculated randomly, nor is it simple.
It takes into account different screen sizes, the fact that sometimes two or three columns are printed in the PDF (the program automatically calculates this based on the channel with the longest text), and the need to reserve space for custom columns.
Channel names in a rider should be as short and descriptive as possible of the sound source so that the person interpreting the channel list can understand it at a glance (like KICK, GUITAR L, GUITAR AMP, LEAD VOX, etc.). The remaining information can go in custom columns.
For example, in your screenshot, you could move the words "DARCY" and "SONNY" to a custom column called "Name," which contains supplementary information.
