Custom stage sizes

We play at a lot of different places and the stages are rarely rectangle. They are typically in a corner. I would really like to be able to reflect that. We are building a library of all of our venues that we go to so that we can have a layout for each location.

Hello, we recently added a new feature that we think you might find useful for creating stages with shapes other than rectangles.

You can import a background image to the stage, as shown in the following images:

Thank you very much for your comment!

This functionality already exists in the software. You can write the width and depth in any unit of measurement and the aspect ratio of the stage will adapt to the measurements.

Here is a screenshot where you can see it:

Yes I saw that but again, we play on triangle stages, circular stages, gazebos and etc. The way it currently is setup, it only allows for a 4 sided stage

Wow!!! Such a feature would not be used by many users but it could make the program much more complicated to use. It would also be very expensive to develop.

Still, if we see that there are a good number of interested users we could explore the possibility of creating a new feature that allows to import an image made outside of RiderMaker (which could contain the geometric shape of the square, roundabout, plan of the theatre...) and it would be used as a background for the canvas to drag elements onto it.

What do you think about this?

Well what about stage extensions? Also there could be a stage thrust in to the audience pit or in front of the PA? There is tons of room for customizing the shape of the stage even somewhat of a freehand draw or shape tool to set general stage boundary shape.
